My first blog!

Posted on Dec 30th, 2008 by Nancy : Student of Nature Nancy

My purpose in this life is to discover my own radiant energies, embrace and grow them and inspire others to do the same.

I love spreading good energy and will. Many people close to me in my life are or have been lost, lost to a life of sadness and depression. My most fulfilling moments have been inspiring them to find their true path, their true existence, to denounce the life they’ve seemingly been doomed to and show them there’s something more worth living for.

I am deeply connected to the Earth, as we all are, as she is our life-giving mother. I feel so many have lost touch with this crucial connection and thus, we have begun to destroy her and consequently ourselves. To resurrect this familial bond with this planet would be to give life to our as well as future generations. This revolution of belief is crucial, not only to the world as a whole (the Earth as well as the human race), but to each individual’s happiness and sense of fulfillment.

I co-concentrate in Psychology and Philosophy and with this, I am pursuing a life dedicated to holistic healing/counseling. I believe many modern day ailments such as depression and drug abuse are caused by a lack of faith: faith in the world, in life and most importantly, in the self.

Any way I can connect with someone is an opportunity for inspiration. I love to make friends out of everyone I meet and to have as many people as possible truly touch my life. I’d like to have the chance to effect others in this same way.

My ideal is to save the world from itself. The so-called reality in which we live, the dog-eat-dog world many of us believe to be truth, is corrupt and misguided. We have turned ourselves into monsters by accepting this society which we have created as permanent and unchallengeable. We have accepted our own, self-inflicted death sentence. We turn a blind eye to that which is ugly and strive for what we are told is happiness. I want to show the world that happiness is not external. Happiness is constructed through self-exploration and discovery.

I aspire to heal others through faith and sharing the light which I have found to all who find themselves in darkness. The only way I can think to do this is through studying psychology, but psychology is too narrow-minded. I want to start my own branch of psychology because it is indeed a form of counseling which calls to me most. However, defining symptoms and looking up an illness is a book is not an accurate diagnosis. Many people in treatment today are not truly being helped because their “illness” is never really healed, only suppressed. I plan to spend my days, with or without pay, inspiring people, helping people. One cannot force another to “see the light” and no one will recognize their own inner light until they’re ready. One must live as brilliantly as one can, shining as bright as the sun, to show those in darkness how glorious and possible it is.

If I could, I would spend my days traveling the world communicating and living with trees. Ha! I love trees even more than I love people because trees have never done the damage that the modern human is capable of or willing to do. I would like to live in a small community somewhere in the middle of nowhere, self-sufficient and full of love and kind heart. Anyone know of a place?
